Beijing JiaYou (Go Go)!!

The world's most focused international sporting event once in every four years, the Beijing Olympic Games 2008, is just around the corner (from 08/08/2008 till 24/08/2008).
.
To quote the organizer's words, this year's Olympic Theme Slogan: "One World One Dream" expresses the common wishes of people all over the world, inspired by the Olympic ideals, to strive for a bright future of Mankind. In spite of the differences in colors, languages and races, we share the charm and joy of the Olympic Games, and together we seek for the ideal of Mankind for peace.
.
What does Olympics mean to China? Take a look at the Torch Run in just one city, Shenzhen as shown below.... considering the total population of 1.3 billions, this is nothing but a small fraction.

Let's reflect on the Olympic motto of the three Latin words: "Citius, Altius, Fortius", which means "Faster, Higher, Stronger".
(奥林匹克一句著名的格言: “更快、更高、更强。”)

These three words encourage the athlete to give his or her best during competition, and to view this effort as a victory in itself.
.
The sense of the motto is that being first is not necessarily a priority, but that giving one's best and striving for personal excellence is a worthwhile goal. It can apply equally to athletes and to each one of us.

May the best team win in the Games!

And may the true sportmanship prevail throughout the Games!

Beijing jia-you (which literally means "add oil") or Beijing go go (to strive for victory)!!
Hail for another most successful Olympic Games ever held in the history of mankind!!! 北京加油!!
