Harvard's Exam Joke

The blogger’s note:

A joke about “Harvard’s exam question” is definitely a joke because this sort of ratio & proportion mathematics question appears in our Malaysian Primary School exam or quiz.

But our Great Sifu Dr JB Lim took it seriously and responded with great humor calling the “Harvard’s examiner” a “moron” or “clown”.

Totally amused by reading his light-hearted emails! What a good start for a 9-day holiday break (from 27/08/2011 till 04/09/2011 in conjunction with the Hari Raya Aidilfitri, National Day and School Holiday)!

Harvard's exam question

This is the question from Year 2001 Harvard's Science Research Use of calculator is prohibited

What if I tell you that mathematically One can NEVER be equal to Five, and NEITHER can Five ever be equal to One.

That Harvard examiner can try to work this out till kingdom come, and he will never be able to equate all those idiotic 'equations' he gave.

Don't you think he was a moron with totally no sense of what equation or balance is all about?

I use logic to get into London, Cambridge, and MIT for postgraduate studies.

That Harvard moron never said ‘Let 1 represents 5’. He clearly printed it out as ‘1 = 5’ and ‘5 = 1’. What that dim-witted Harvard clown clearly meant was One is EQUAL TO Five, and FIVE IS EQUAL TO One.

In between, he also printed out the same thing for all his other moronic equations.

Just one look at his first ‘equation’ alone without needing to scroll down any further, not even one line further down, INSTANTLY told me that fellow was a total mess, and that messy clown needs to go back to kindergarten to start learning how to count properly all over again.

Even if that nut were to use algebra symbols, whether higher or lower algebra or even calculus to represent any numerical valve, such as “Let a = b” to substitute all his ‘equations’ he would still land up with exactly the same numerical value even if he went round and round in eternal circles, come what may.

May be he used those types of ‘logic’ to enter Harvard and became an examiner there, but I definitely use logic to enter London University, Cambridge and at MIT. That’s the difference.

All my external examiners from these three universities were Jews and they are a no lesser Nobel Prizes winning race.

Sorry, I have no dealings with those obtuse Harvard ‘mathematicians and examiners’.
