I used to go for morning hiking regularly after retirement at Bukit Enggang, Bandar Sungai Long, about 10-minute drive from my house, with a buddy Yong YK before the outbreak of Covid-19 pandemic. But I have stopped this morning exercises since March 18, 2020 after the imposition of Movement Control Order (MCO) by the government.
Bukit Enggang, also known as Sungai Long Hike, is a popular spot for hiking and group exercises among locals in the area of Bandar Sungai Long and from nearby townships. People like to walk on the steep roads for a good workout and enjoy the scenic view of the untouched nature in Hulu Langat.
Nevertheless, it is also a massive dump site and the area for activities such as logging and sand mining. A certain stretch of the roads is in bad shape with potholes and sinking on both sides of the tarred road.
This morning on April 1, 2021, I went for a hiking with Yong YK after a long absence on my part (Yong used to hike 6 days a week while I only joined him the most 3 times a week in the past) and took some photos as follows:
