Farewell Lunch On My Last Day With SNA

As the saying goes, “all good things must come to an end (天下无不散之筵席)”, today (Monday, March 31, 2014) is my last day of employment with SNA Consult Sdn Bhd.

This is the 4th C&S consulting firm I joined in my 34 years of professional career since graduation in 1980.  I commenced working with this company based in Damansara Intan, P.J. on August 26, 2013 and after 7 months of employment I voluntarily resigned due to various reasons despite the repeated requests to stay on by my boss Ir. Robert Ang Huck Koon.  I wish to take a break from now on even if it is too early to consider retirement.

A few colleagues initiated a farewell lunch for me today at the Esquire Kitchen, Tropicana City Mall which is located near to our office block across a road.  On hearing this as I bid farewell to Robert when I left at 12.30 pm, he promptly joined in despite his busy schedule (he rushed back from a business trip to Macau ahead of the original schedule last night in order to attend important meetings this afternoon, and he was actually working on his personal computer when I saw him).  It is such a touching gesture!

Picture below shows Ir. Robert Ang and me in a snapshot for remembrance sake.  18 years younger than me, he is intelligent, dynamic, very hard-working, most considerate and generous boss I have ever served.
Picture below shows a group photo with my colleagues who graciously offered me the farewell lunch:  Seated from front left:  senior draftslady Marianne Chee Yoke Ngo, the blogger, associate Patrick Lim Ting Aun (son of founder of SNA Consult, Ir. Lim Seng Nip) and engineer Hue Yuen Fatt.  Standing from left: engineer Sim Jae Shen, engineer Ms Chin Mun Yan, engineer Ms Yeong Cheng Yi, associate Ms Tan Phei Ling, engineer Ms Lau Sim Keok and engineer Jackson Tay.
I must take this opportunity to thank my boss and colleagues for honoring me with such a memorable occasion.   Farewell and all the best to you, ladies and gentlemen!!

Ms. Tan, you are so busy and tied up with works day in and day out, how can you possibly have time to read my blog?
Anyway, do take care yourself as I heard from Robert that you are going to be a mum for the 4th time soon. Congrats! Don't follow my footstep of having all 4 boys ah, hahaha....
