A Full-day Outing for Food & Beverage With Walking Buddies on March 15, 2024

On Friday, March 15, 2024, my walking buddies namely Tang Chee Leong & wife Lim Poh Suan, Goh Boon Keong & wife Tiu Sok Chin, Yap Kuang Boon & wife Tan Sok Mooi, and my wife Soh Ai and I went for a food & beverage trip to Pudu / ICC Pudu / Sunway Velocity Mall / Cheras Batu 11 New Village from 9.45am till 6.45pm.

We left home at 9.45am in two cars driven by Tang and Goh respectively.

First stop was Restoran Chun Kei Tai Bu Noodle (春记大埔面) at Jln. Sayur, off Jln. Pudu for the famous Hakka Tai Bu noodle. This restaurant is normally packed with customers. A big bowl of the noodle cost us RM10.00, enough to be shared by 2 persons.

After breakfast, we walked over to ICC Pudu Food Court where we savoured ABC ice kacang (八宝雪 RM9.00 per bowl), popiah (薄饼RM4.00 per piece) and triple kuih bakul (三层炸年糕 RM2.50/pc).   

After leaving Pudu, we initially thought of going to Viva Homes, Jln. Loke Yew, but due to road block and the inconvenience, we  wnt to Sunway Velocity Mall instead.

It was a pleasant surprise for me to find there was a GoTravel Expo being held at the Vanity Atrium Grd Floor) from March 14 to 17.  It was a small scale travel fair and there were about 10 travel company booths.

I managed to enquire about certain details of tour packages to Shandong, China for reference.  This is useful for my coming visit to MATTA Fair at MITEC next Friday, March 22, 2024 to decide on which tour company and what tour package to join for my next intended China tour.

We had iced coffee at Bungkus Kaw Kaw at B1 Floor of Sunway Velocity and chit-chatted for quite sometime.

After leaving Sunway Velocity, we initally planned to drive to Pekan Baut 9 Cheras , but again due to closure of the stall we intended to patronize, we proceeded to Cheras Batu 11 New Village for early dinner (at about 5.00pm).

We had a sumptuous dinner of 5 dishes costing RM162.00 (plus tea) and each of us paid only RM20.00.  We also sat there chit-chatting for quite a while and left upon seeing many other customers coming in.

We returned home about 6.45pm.

What an enjoyable companionship and good food and beverage for the whole day!
