On Thursday, February 17. 2022, Mr. Aw Eng Sun organized a lunch at one of his favourite dining places i.e. Mei Wei Little Kitchen Restaurant, Section 17, Happy Garden, P.J. at 12.15am. Also invited were Stanley Ong, Aw’s condo. mate and tennis buddy Mr. Ang.
Stanley picked me up in front of his Forest Green Condo. BSL at 11.05am and we reached Mei Wei Little Kitchen Restaurant at 11.45am, almost half an hour earlier than the appointment time.
Mr. Aw and Mr. Ang arrived at 12.10pm and we had a pleasant lunch of 4 dishes, namely clay pot fish head curry, yam pork ribs, fried sweet potato leaves and fried bean leaves. We had a good chat among ourselves besides savoring the delicious food.
Mr. Aw was not only generous to pay for our lunch, but also ordered packs of steamed pork with salted fish for all of us to take home.
After lunch, we walked over to a nearby restaurant for the popular cendol in the area, treated by Mr. Ang.
Stanley sent me home at about 1.30pm.
