Buffet breakfast at KLGCC with Aw Eng Sun & others on June 14, 2025
I woke up at 5.30am and left home at 6.15am to go to Happy Garden, K.L. where Stanley Ong had agreed to fetch me from there to KLGCC at 7.00am.
Traffic was very smooth on a Saturday early morning and I reached Khoo Kay Hock’s house (21km away) at Jln. Sukacita 4, Happy Garden at 6.40am, less than 30 min. The sky was still dark then.
Khoo was surprised to find me in front of his house because Stanley didn't inform him about the breakfast. Nevertheless he just put on a shirt (he was top-naked when he came out of the house to collect Sin Chew Daily) and tagged along.
Stanley punctually came at 6.55am to fetch Khoo and I to KLGCC.
We arrived at KLGCC at 7.20am and took a little time to find NOA which is tucked between two sets of pickleball courts.
Aw greeted us at the entrance of NOA at 7.40am. He had earlier fetched his cikgu Mr. Malayapillay to the Cafe.
Dato’ Nik Mahmood came later, followed by Kenneth Lee.
Seven of us had a nice chat over buffet breakfast (RM19/pax).
Nik was very talkative and the next was Kenneth. At times Aw chipped in. And I totally enjoyed listening to their conversations.
We left the Cafe and bade one another farewell at around 9.45am.
Stanley sent me back to Happy Garden and I drove home to return t about 11.00am.
I am the youngest of all who were present today. Malayapillay is 93 years old. Khoo 92. Aw 84, Nik 80, Stanley 71, Kenneth 70+.
It is noted that this breakfast was co-hosted by Aw and Kenneth.
