Further Discussions On Antiviral Oils by Dr. JB Lim

The blogger’s note:  Further to the articles written by Dr. JB Lim and posted earlier in this blog, he further elaborated as follows:

25/05/2021 @ 10.07 pm

I only gave a list of few common antiviral oils you may choose. You need not buy all of them.

You need to choose just a few more common and cheapest ones rather than using one stand alone oil.

The best one is tea tree oil that has a very wide spectrum against all pathogenic organisms including fungi, bacteria and all viruses. This oil has been used very effectively against a wide spectrum of infections.

Tea tree oil is moderately expensive, but not as expensive as RM 300 for 10 mls, maybe just RM 5 per ml.

But the cheapest and the most common antivirals is the eucalyptus oil traditionally used for the common cold caused by more than 250 different strains of rhinoviruses. You can buy this oil from any pharmacy or Chinese medicine shop. They call it “fong yew” (air oil) – the “chap tiga kaki” brand.

Often they mix eucalyptus oil with camphor oil which is just as good for the common cold caused by these families of rhino viruses.

What we need is the synergistic actions of a few of them against the virus. Understandably these aromatic oils are very expensive as a lot of their leaves and flowers need to be chosen, crushed, boiled and distilled just to extract out a few drops.

I suggest mix tea tree oil with eucalyptus and oils of camphor will do for a start as camphor oil is also very cheap which you can buy online from the Internet.

My problem, not yours is this:

What I am trying to find out now is how many molecules of these antiviral oils in a cubic metre of air would be needed to coat the protein spike of this coronavirus? This is my problem.

The mechanism of how this virus enters into the cells of our body (to explain this in very, very simple layman’s language) is, this coronavirus has protein spikes all over its crown which are actually protein-digesting enzyme which they then use to drill (proteolysis) a hole into the protein membrane of our cells to gain entry.

What I am trying to find out is, how to block these protein-digesting enzymes by coating these spike proteins with a lipid layer from these essential oils so that there is a barrier between their lipid and protein layers, and our own cellular protein layer.

In order for us to do this, we need to have the data of their spike surface areas and how many spikes each virus carries and how many of these there are in every cubic metre of air.

Next, is for us to know the composition the oil, its molecular mass and the density of each oil, the Avogadro numbers, and from there it is easy to calculate out its volume.

Once we get its volume it is easy to calculate out the molecular volume of each of these oils that is needed to cover the surface area of each virus to act as a lipid barrier between this virus and the surface area of our human lung cells through which they drill their holes to gain entry into to multiply.

Once we have this data, it is easy for us to calculate out their molecular sizes and amounts of these oils needed per cubic metre of air to block a set density of the coronavirus.

What we are lacking is data on the number of protein spikes on each virus, without which we cannot proceed further.

You leave this problem to me. I shall proceed to work this out once I have the preliminary data. This problem rests entirely on my shoulders.

Your problem is merely to buy the cheapest essential antiviral oils in the market, mixed them (amount to be calculated out) with an appropriate amount of water and use a nebulizer to atomize the vapour into the air into your bedroom.

Actually instead of a nebulizer, you can also put the oils mixture into a kettle of water and boil out the vapours into the air as you do for steam inhalation although this has a risk of fire when the water boils dry.

Even using an electric kettle can cause a fire and electric short circuit if the kettle boils dry, besides the high cost of fuel and electricity.

Why must scientists in big drug companies keep talking only about their vaccines and all kinds of drugs to make untold billions of dollars when antiviral vapours in the air depositing droplets onto the walls, doors, bedrooms, clothes, cupboards..etc, etc are just as effective.

A hypothesis on the mechanisms of antiviral oils

I think what is crucial in the sprays of antiviral oil aerosols into the air I proposed earlier, would be our ability to cover up the entire surface areas of the coronavirus, specifically the spike protein regions where the pathogenic sites are located.

This is the zone over their crown to the best of my understanding that their protein-digesting enzymes are positioned through which their proteolytic action would act over the protein cell membrane of our human host cells to gain entry.

The principle behind my hypotheses is for us to establish a barricade in the region between their proteolytic layers and our cellular membranes with a coat of molecular layers of these oils.

These layers would also effectively overlap their protective lipid layer. This is what I hypothesize would be their Achilles heels.

Our problem is how much coverage by these aromatic antiviral oils at molecular levels would be needed such that there is almost no chance for the virus to dislodge the layer with their own lipases, or cause them to mutate to break down the antiviral essential oils? Bear in mind these viruses are so teeny-tiny that we need to scale down our oils to molecular levels.

We can also spray an aerosol of alcohol, either ethanol (ethyl) or methanol (methyl) alcohol into the air. It is just as good to dissolve their protective lipid layer, but this is highly NOT advisable as alcohol is highly inflammable and the house can catch fire and explode. Furthermore alcohol vapours are so volatile they do not last long in the air.

Please do NOT use alcohol for this. This is just for academic interest. This is my WARNING. Extreme Care!

Bear in mind the RNA are very smart molecules that were the first pre-life fragments to evolve over 4,000 million years ago, and hence they are extremely adaptable and resilient to any threats to their continuing existence. They are constantly evolving into various families.

Consequently we must be extremely careful how we are going to handle them.

I have searched the literature for data on their surface areas that is their crucial Achilles heels, but unfortunately no finding has been published so far.

Without their data, it is very difficult to proceed with the calculations. It is not a problem to calculate out the volume and surface areas of a single molecule of any of the aromatic oils I suggested earlier in this chat group.

We only need to know the composition of each of these oils, their molecular formula, types and numbers of the atoms in the compound and their densities.

Once this is available, from there it is easy to work out their molecular mass using the Avogadro number, volume and hence surface area of each molecule.

Once we can establish the surface area of a single molecule of the antiviral oils, it is easy to determine how much oil is needed to envelope the entire spike areas on each virus.

This is not a problem for us, not sure for others?

Another set of data missing is, we have no information on the viral density per cubic metre of air say in a room, house, building or in the outside environment.

Once such data is available it can be worked out how much aerosol droplets would be needed to cover the entire surface area of a single virus, and in each cubic metre of air in the house or environment.

This data is crucial for us to ensure we can handle this virus appropriately and with care, because as I emphasized earlier above, we should not allow this virus to mutate when we confront them with any agent adverse to their existence.

I think fighting with this virus to me is like a relay race where one runner passes on a baton to the next runner.

In this race, I am just another runner standing in front with my body bent forward and my hands stretched out behind my back ready to receive the baton of the runner racing behind me.

Once I can have a hold of this baton, I can immediately work on it as I race forward to the next runner in front or myself to the finishing line. We work as a team in research

Though I am not a virologist to determine the volume and surface areas of the spike protein, but if I am forced to take up this job, it is actually quite easy to measure their volume and surface area.

What is needed is a high powered electron microscope with a crosshair scale measuring the size of the virus and its structures in microns (one micron is 0.000001 metre).

We can then calculate out the surface areas of the clone shape of its spike protein using the equation:

s = √(r2 + h2), where s = surface area, r = radius at the base, and h = height

I can work this out if I am forced to, provided I have access to an electron microscope. But I would rather prefer to leave this to a virologist.

We work as a team each sharing each other’s expertise in this race.

Making Our Own Face Masks by Dr. JB Lim

The blogger’s note: Dr. JB Lim wrote to the blogger after his recommendations for steam inhalation against Covid virus were posted  in this blog last night as follows:

Date: 25/05/2021 @ 1.24 am

Sifu Ir Lau.  It is good to share whatever we know for the benefit of others.

Why don't you also post the article I wrote about making our own face masks, and how they should be worn wet impregnated with boiled dilute starch solution and a mixture of antiviral oil and kept wet all the time with a small bottle of water spray without taking the mask off when going out, but at home fill up the room air with vapours of these antiviral oils from a nebuliser?

Also I forgot to add before going to the tailor to make these personalised masks, take a measuring tape and measure the length across your face from ear to ear and just below the eyes right down to cover well below the chin at the neck. Then give these measurements to the tailor.

Ensure the 4 strings to tie behind the back of the head are long enough.

I think two layers of thin cotton cloth sewed together are better than a single thick one.

Add that additional info for me into your blog and share it out.

Hope it helps. I try my best.

Lim jb

P/s:  The reason I suggest two thin layers of cloth sewed together is better than a single layer of thick cloth for the home made mask is because the pores and fibres the two layers would not be directly in line with each other.

This makes it harder for the virus to find a direct entry through, whereas a single layer has all the pores and fibre arrangements in just the same direction like an open door.

Furthermore, two layers will provide double layers of coating of the mixture of antiviral oils and film of water between, and hence when the outer layer is saturated with the virus if we assume, we still have the inner second layer which is cleaner. This would be like changing the mask for a new one.

This is far more logical than having a single layer mask.

You may add this explanation in.

Thanks.

Jb

The blogger’s note: The articles Dr. JB Lim mentioned above that he wrote to his Golden Ox chat group are as follows:

21/5/2021 @ 7.56 pm

I think I have already written twice explaining in different ways why masks are completely useless trying to filter out such tiny tiny particles like SARS-CoV-2 virus or even much larger viruses.

However, if others still insist on wearing loosely fitted commercial masks, let me explain how you can make your own much more efficient ones that can be used again and again by washing.

First buy a metre of a thick cotton cloth, and ask your tailor to cut them into several small pieces large enough to cover almost your entire face from just below your eyes, down to your entire mouth and down to the lower part of your chin to almost to your neck.

On both sides of your cheeks up to near the ears need to be covered by a large enough piece of your home made cloth mask.

Next, stitch a string on the each of the 4 corners of the mask long enough to tie two of them at the top on the back of your head, and two of the lower strings at the back of your neck like a surgeon.

Wash them thoroughly before use and each time after use.

Next, before using, soak the mask in dilute solution of starch in which various types of antiviral aromatic oils are added, the list of these oils I have already given in the article in my blog.

The purpose of soaking in a dilute solution of boiled starch is to make the mask sticky and gummy to trap all dusts including SARS-CoV-2 virus in the inhaled air.

Not just that mechanism alone.

Both the starch and water molecules will occupy all the holes and close up all the gaps between the fibres and the tiny holes in between, thus giving no chance of any virus to enter between hundreds of thousands of holes between these fibres.

The molecular adhesion of both the water and starch molecules are quite strong and this additionally will also trap even particles sub below the size of any virus trying to enter.

However for this mechanism to work, the mask MUST be kept wet all the time.

This can be partly be achieved by moisture exhaled by the breath.

But to ensure it is almost 100% effective, carry with you a small bottle of water spray, and spray the water onto your mask without taking it off when the mask begins to dry up.

This is the best I can offer you.

Thank you

Lim jb

21/5/2021 @ 9.51 pm

On a question from a member of the chat group as to how to keep the mask moist all the time, Dr. Lim replied as follows:

I told you to wash your mask often before and after use.

8 hours is not too long compared to many people who don't even change their loosely fitting commercial mask at all.

These people keep wearing the same mask for months without changing them.

That is why I ask people to make their own really tightly fitting masks, many of them can be made with just one meter of thick cotton cloth, maybe 2 dozens of them out of 1 metre.

Wearing the same mask for 8 working hours is just as effective as a newly washed one as I told you to wet it with boiled dilute starch solutions on which several antivirus aromatic oils are also added.

Then wet them again by just spraying water on the mask when it begins to dry out after 3 hours or so.

Takes just 5 seconds to spray a mist of water on it.

What's so difficult about this?

I dont think there are so much of this virus in the air that your mask gets saturated with them even after 24 hours.

Just wash them like clothes when you get home. They are so small that you can wash them under a running tap unlike clothes where you need a washing machine.

The dilute solution of boiled starch and 0.5 to 1 mls of mixed antiviral oils in one litre of water can be kept for months in a container in a refrigerator.

Just soak your mask into the solution and squeeze excess liquid out and just wear them. What’s so difficult about this?

How else do you want me to explain?

Recommendations Of Steam Inhalation Against Covid Virus By Dr. JB Lim

The blogger’s note:
In response to a query about steam inhalation against Covid from his brother Lim Yew Tong in Singapore, Dr. Lim Ju Boo wrote the following reply on 20/05/2021 @ 9.18 pm and shared it with his Golden Ox chat group:

Dear brother Yew Tong (others in this chat can share too),

As far as your question which are the anti-viral oils you need to add into the boiling water for steam inhalation against Covid virus, I have already given the list in my blog here

https://scientificlogic.blogspot.com/2020/03/steam-inhalation-to-kill-corona-viruses.html

One of the best antivirus oil to use into the boiling water as well as for oral consumption is garlic oil.

To make a garlic oil infusion at home, crush garlic cloves and add them to a carrier oil (like olive oil).

Let the mixture sit for about five hours, and then strain the bits of garlic and keep the oil in a jar with a lid. This infusion can also be used as an antiviral herb for cold sores, virus infection (probably for Covid as well?) when used topically, not just orally or administered via steam.

Another extremely strong antivirus oil to consider is tea tree oil that I forgot to add into my list.

The rest in their order of antivirus actions I have given in my list are oils of eucalyptus in 1 on the list, cinnamon bark in 2, lime or lemon in 6 and 14, peppermint in 16, and oregano.

From my knowledge in natural medicine, I think thyme oil is almost as effective as eucalyptus oil.

It is best to add a mixture of all these antiviral oils than use a single stand alone oil.

Their efficacy is the synergistic effects of multiple oils rather than the sum of all of them acting in singles.

You try to find a shop somewhere in Singapore where they sell aromatic essential oils they use for aromatherapy.

It is not necessary you need to get all of them I suggest here, but try to get as much as you can from an aromatherapy shop somewhere.

I highly recommend you follow up steam inhalation with these antivirus oils added into the boiling water in the protocols suggested in my blog with fine nebuliser sprays of these oils in your room 24 hours a day.

You can buy the nebulising machine from the aromatherapy shop in Singapore I am sure.

A lot of people recommend only plain steam inhalation. This is not enough. Add a combination of antiviral oils into the boiling water. The steam is just a physical therapy, but it is these oils that inhibit the pathogenicity of this virus.

Combine both approaches.

The mechanism how steam works I have already briefly explained in layman's  language for the benefit of everyone.

Augment steam inhalation with oral administration of the following nutraceuticals here in Ir TO Lau blog:

Therapy for Coronavirus Infection and Prevention by Dr. JB Lim

https://taionn.blogspot.com/2020/04/natural-therapy-for-coronavirus.html?m=1

The nutradynamics (mode of actions) how cod liver oils and vitamin C works is already explained in Ir Lau's blog.

Add on the following immune enhancing botanical medications into the above list to be taken orally:

1. Echinacea 2 tab tds

2. Elderberry 2 tab bd

3. Andrographis 1 tab od

I hope I have been of help.

Thank you once again for your phone call.

Jb lim

In a separate message in the chat group on 21/05/2021 @ 6:32 pm, Dr.JB Lim briefly explained the conduct of medical research as follows:

These suggestions (as posted above) are the best I can give based on existing knowledge I know on the antiviral properties found in the essentials oils in many aromatic herbs, the list I have already given in my blog.

However evidence-based studies need to be conducted to confirm a hypothesis.

This is how we conduct medical research or do a PhD degree.

What we normally do is to search the literature for as much info as possible.

We then sit down quietly, analyzing and thinking critically on their findings. We then build up our own hypothesis in a very scientific and analytical manner.

Next we begin to carry out a study based on our personal hypothesis, collect the data and analyse them accordingly to acceptable statistical protocols to confirm the hypothesis.

Normally what we initially suspect are almost near 99.9% confirmed to be correct.

But if they are different from what we expect we will also report and record them to help and guide other future researchers after us.

This is how we as researchers stick on to scientific ethics, academic honesty and professional code of practice.

We will then record our results as zero which part of the results of our research, and zero results is perfectly acceptable. We don't claim and cheat.

Hence when I suggested using an aromatic nebuliser to spray an ultra fine mist of anti viral aromatic oils into the air inside our room or house to fill up the entire house 24 hours a day with these mixtures of antivirus oils to act as a blocking screen just like a smoke screen to kill all viruses including SARS-CoV-2 virus and bacteria in the air, walls, doors, beds... etc., this is personal hypothesis I forwarded that I strongly believe would be far, far, more efficient than wearing useless masks, washing our hands, social distancing... etc, etc.

These wearing masks and washing hands are what others all the time are talking about without offering other easier alternatives.

Not just the antiviral benefits in the air alone, the aroma of these these ultra fine mists of these oils filling the air in our bedrooms are extremely pleasant to smell and provides us a very relaxing effect which by itself is already an immune system booster.
